Festival in Kazinczy to welcome spring -

Now it is a tradition that a festival is organised to welcome spring by Azért7 Organisation in Kazinczy Street. It’s going to be on Easter Sunday (31st March) from 10 am to 8 pm.

The festival provides plenty of programs: music, games, poetry, cooking, bike, market, walking up and down and many others. But it is also organised to get support from more and more people to make Kazincy a pedestrian street, to change the current situation which is bad for everybody as we can experience it day by day. A few weeks ago a photo was posted on Szimpla’s Facebook page about the many cars that go along this small street where the pavement is not enough for two people to walk side by side. Many people commented on this picture. The Azért7 Organisation has been trying to change the flow of traffic since it was established. This is not only their idea but the bars’ and pubs’ and even the people who live here.

The festival will be held all along the street, cooperating and being supported by Kazimír, Mika Tivadar Mulató, Bobek, Kőleves, Téli Kertem and of course Szimpla Kert.

The music program certainly provides a wide range of genres. Many different bands, duos and solo musicians are going to perform. In front of Kazimír: Gyuszi Lakatos and Gyuri Orbán is making sure that the atmosphere is pleasant; in front of Szimpla: 2:30-3:30 Random Stripes, 4:00-5:00 Bélaműhely, 5:30-6:30 Adolphe Sax Konsort (Béla Ágoston’s quartet) + Bélaműhely and finally 7:00-8:00 Butterfly Effect.

And of course there is the usual Farmers’ Market in Szimpla Kert, which is open every Sunday from 9:00 until 2:00 since last June. You can do your weekly shopping or just drop in for a good lunch while supporting charity and see why the market got into the best 16 at Sozialmarie’s tender. The Hétkerék Bike Cellar is going to be present all day long with a smart guide for bikers and the Hungarian Cyclists’ Club is organising an programs for children all day long.
