On August 5th begins the great Sziget Festival, which has opened it’s doors the 21st time, and certainly where we, Szimpla sympathizers will crowd! However, we would like to draw your attention to make a good decision during the day or at night after the concerts by coming back to the city to visit us.
Szimpla garden - of which you certainly have heard when you visited Budapest - started it’s 10th year of operation and besides welcoming millions of visitors it laied down such a cultural foundation that was followed by others as a chain in the entire city whose members are today known Europe’s ruin pubs.
Szimpla is committed to cultural entertainment, it’s operation is supported by associations and is dedicated to enriching the the internal contents of the city, to make it livable in terms of appearance and that everyone who is living here, visiting as a tourist or is seeking for fun should spend a great time in Budapest.
In the recent years Szimpla won the 3rd best nomination of Lonely Planet in best bar category and has earned a global level. There is the Community Cooking that has been held at every Backyard Market on Sundays organized bycivil societies in our support (and visitors’ support of course), on the Vienna SozialMarie tender Szimpla won the special prize, as well as of course we are bike-friendly workplace. This fact is proven the best by being inaugurated official shrine by the Babylon’s Rabbits Bike Church.
If you decide to spend one or more afternoons-evenings in the city anytime this week, we await you from 12:00 at one of the oldest and most colorful areas of Budapest. This week’s news and programs: we recently opened our brand new Vitamin bar, we’ll have folk concerts, Biker's Flea Market, cocktails, farmers' market on Sunday with community cooking and we’ll also have an English subtitled retro-film.
