Szimpla tends to be and act in every aspect
of arts, therefore besides the tons of concerts provides space for fine arts in
both Kertész and Kazinczy streets: at Szimpla Café and Szimpla Kert (garden).
There were several exhibitions upstairs (or at Szimpla Café on the huge wall
and in the basement.)
And now, from 27th April KREA art
school’s interior decorator, interior designer and graphic designer students’ exam-artworks
are being exposed in the frames of Portfolio Points (exhibition-series for
young photographers, artists twice a year since 2008).
KREA is a contemporany artschool and it’s
second year interior designer/graphic designer students’ task was to
re-structure and modernize the countryside buildings’ style and to re-think the
fixtures of home offices in Bauhaus and 50’s style.
The third year
graphic designer students’ task was to use the multi-layered pattern-system,
rhythm, ratio systems and fractals: altogether called self-repeating
pattern-systems when creating their artwork.
These exhibited
peaces are prepared manually and they reflect how can be one pattern used in
several variations and on different surfaces.
