A little know-how to Szimpla Bars and Cafés

OK, guys. We collected all Szimpla Bars for you. In case you’d travel around here are some useful information, map, pictures, travel information.

Badehause Musiksalon

Address: Revaler Straße 99, Berlin, Germany

Info: Huge bar surrounded by other pubs in the middle of a party area. Live music – weekly sessions. Drink, dance, have fun in it!

 

Szimpla Café Berlin

Address: Gärtnerstraße 15, Berlin, Germany

Info: Pop in and get the Szimpla coffe-drinking, reading, Internet surfing!

Szimpla Balaton

Address: Templom street, Pécsely, Hungary

Info: Get the camp feeling. An old house with a huge garden, river and a small lake, sports facilities (basketball, volleyball, table tennis, free bike usage, slackline). Bring your tent!

Szimpla Kert

Address: Kazinczy street 14, Budapest, Hungary

Info: Huge bar, open space for smokers, restaurant at the rooftop and musik and people and a whole lot of party in there.

Szimpla Café Budapest

Address: Kertész street 48, Budapest, Hungary

Info: A smaller and calmer place than Szimpla Kert. Provides the original coffee drinking mood. A lovely place to spend some freetime.

Szimplavé 

Address: Görgey Artúr street 25, Vác, Hungary

Info: Vác is a small town next to the river Danube. After a bike tour from Budapest you can eat here, have a spritzer (fröccs) and have a rest.

Accomodation

Fortunately there are 2 great apartments between Szimpla Kert and Szimpla Café in Budapest. Travelling

Checked Hungarian National Train Lines we can say that Berlin-Budapest-Berlin or Budapest-Berlin-Budapest trip costs around 80-140 EUR and trip takes 12-16 hours from one city to the other.

Budapest-Vác-Budapest or Vác-Budapest-Vác trip costs 4-6 EUR and trip takes about 30-45 minutes from city to city.

It is a bit more difficult to get to Szimpla Balaton Camp, located in Pécsely. From Budapest you have to take the train that goes to Balatonfüred, and from there you need to take two local buses (Balatonfüred-Dörgicse-Pécsely). Train ticket fee: around 9-10 EUR and trip takes 2,5-3 hours.

Distances

Badehaus and Szimpla Berlin are close, approximately 1 km far. Berlin-Budapest distance is about 900 km (can’t say it is close, but it’s worth travelling:) ). Szimpla Café Budapest and Szimpla Kert Budapest are close too: 1,5 km far. Budapest-Vác distance is around 40 kilometers (attention bike lovers!). Budapest-Pécsely (Szimpla Balaton Camp) is around 150 km.

We made a short calculation, what if we go around. It is about a 1900 km long trip back and forth. Who’s brave enough? :)
